GAZETTEER · THE MIRRENMERE

The Drowned Shrine

An Imperial temple stranded on the largest mere-island when the valley drowned, where the Ashen Temple rows pilgrims and the Silt Hands keep dry cellars.

When the Mirrenmere was a valley, a temple stood at its heart; when the water came, the temple became an island. The Temple swears the old god never left; the Hands swear the cellars are full. Its altar predates the Sundering and answers, faintly, to the barrow's relic.
