An old Vallen Imperium milestone iced over above the snowline, marking a road that no longer goes anywhere.
Above the snowline on the Rampart's flank stands an Imperium waystone, its carved distances glazed under clear blue ice, pointing down a graded road the mountain has long since taken back. The Imperium built to last and built where it should not have; the stone outlived the empire, the road, and everyone who ever read it. What shelters in its lee, and what the ice has kept, is the traveller's to find.
