GAZETTEER · THE MIRRENMERE
The Standing Mast
A drowned galleon's mast breaking the water mid-mere — a navigation mark the smugglers steer by and a Brine Wight haunts; its hull is a tide-trap of old cargo.
Whatever ship it belonged to went down hard enough to leave its mast above the waterline, and has stood there long enough that the Silt Hands carved a waymark into it. The hull below is a tangle of ribs and old rope and whatever the tide has been bringing in. A Brine Wight keeps company with the old cargo — the drowned sailor who loved his ship too well to leave it.
