GAZETTEER · THE SOUTHERN FLATS
The Hermit's Rib
A sun-mad anchorite's roost dug into the north face of a rock-rib — one cell, a water-jar, a wall scratched dense with a heat-driven cosmology no one else can read.
A former Ashen Temple priest who broke on the flats carved his understanding of the heat into the north-facing rock over a decade and called it theology. He speaks in the parables of thirst, counts the bone-saint's prayers by listening at dawn, and knows when the praying dark will be loudest. He is not entirely wrong about any of it.
