A ring of stone-walled yards around a deep well, built to hold a full caravan's wagons and stock overnight without anyone sleeping unwatched. Every trade-clan on the southern roads knows the Waystead kept its gates open through the worst of the turn, hiring guards it could barely afford rather than let a single route go dark — which is exactly the reputation Caravan-Mother Yeshka intends to cash in for a Great House's proper standing.
