The Finder's Glass
A smoked lens the Finders pass down that catches the faint green sheen of temple-bronze through stone — the tool that turns tomb-robbing from luck into a trade.
Look through the Glass in the dark of a barrow and a piece of Old Work shows as a small cold smear of light no eye can otherwise see — the smoked glass is ground to pick out exactly the sheen good temple-bronze throws even buried, the same green-gold catch a jeweller uses to sort ore, just far more finely made. It made the Finders what they are: before the Glass, relic-hunting was digging and praying; after it, the Finders could find. There are only a handful, each a little different, and a Diver who is handed one has been told, without words, that they are trusted to bring back what it shows them.
