The Living-Wood Bow
A Greenwake bow grown rather than carved, still faintly alive — it draws lighter for a warden of the living land and refuses the hand that's come to strip the wood.
Cut from the Hollowing Oak's own seed and coaxed into shape over years, the bow is not quite dead wood. It warms to a Greenwake hand, draws as if it wants to, and shoots true at things that have been twisted by the echoes — as if it knows them for what they are. To a logger, a poacher, or a relic-broker it sits stubborn and heavy, a dead branch that won't bend. There are only a few, and the Oak decides, in its slow way, who gets one.
