The Sixfold Anchor Shoe
Six nested bronze claws grip stone more tightly as the ground beneath them shifts.
The claws fold into a smooth round shoe that once fitted the foot of a larger frame. Press it to dressed stone and each claw finds a different seam, sharing the pull between them. Two claws are fused with rust, yet the remaining four will not let go until the central ring is turned.
