The Lantern-Maker's Third Hand
A three-fingered clamp that holds hot glass as gently as a mother holds an egg.
Each bronze finger bends at two joints and tightens from a single bone-white screw. Vyr lampwrights used it for the thin panes that made their high halls bright. Soot blackens one finger, but the grip still closes evenly around glass, shell, or a bruised plum without leaving a mark.
