A slim gold plumb that leans one finger toward a missing mate instead of hanging true.
The weight is shaped like a falling seed and hangs from a thread that has never frayed. It was one half of a Vyr survey pair: this plumb fixed the first point while the Returning Plumb closed the measure. Alone, it pulls faintly east of true and trembles when carried under old masonry.
