The Little House Gnomon
A thumb-high ivory house whose needle casts noon in the same place on any level ground.
It may have been a child's lesson or a kitchen timepiece; the Vyr made little distinction between the two. Turn the house and its needle slowly rights itself toward the sun, even beneath thin cloud. The painted door has worn away under many small fingers.
