Hollowfold Tallow Candle
A plain rendered-fat candle sold in Hollowfold — adequate light, a slight sheepy smell, worth almost nothing and useful everywhere.
Every farm-candle on the Spur is rendered from the tallow of the hollow's own sheep. They burn for four hours, smoke a little, and smell exactly like what they are. The inn sells them for a silt-coin apiece and the shepherds buy them in lots of twelve. They are what most of Hollowfold runs on after dark: not magic, not temple-bronze work, not a torch. A bowl is a bowl and a candle is a candle.
