The Drover's Cache-Delve

A dead-empire buried way-cellar under a rock-rib, half its roof fallen, sand pouring through the cracks — still used by the Silt Hands as a forward cache.

The empire that built the South Road also sank way-stations under the ribs to cache water and goods against the heat. This one survived the centuries better than most: the intact half holds Silt Hands barrels and a guard or two; the collapsed half is a sand-drifted maze where sand-lurkers den in the dark. The Drover's Ledger-Stone's buried route leads here — this is where the dead crossing's caches were seated.
