The Wayfarer's Ledger · CAVE
Chapter 103
The Gull-Throat Caves

Sea-cut tide-caves honeycombing the rock under Gull's Watch, flooding at the make — the Silt Hands cache contraband in the dry upper galleries above the tide-mark.
The sea has been hollowing this headland longer than the beacon has stood on it, and what it left is a warren of salt-wet galleries, booming throats, and a flooded lower passage that only a Hessk diver or a fool at high tide would enter. The Silt Hands use the upper level for bonded cargo between runs; a single Hessk diver minds the cache and minds the tide, and the two are the same job.
