A Valenfeld cart-hand who took a Gaunt Ledger freight-bond to fix a wagon wheel and is now quietly, comically underwater on the interest.

Corb hauls freight between Valenfeld and the road stations for anyone who'll pay by the load, which was fine until his axle went and he took a small Gaunt Ledger bond to fix it rather than lose a season's work. The bond was small. The interest is not staying small. He tells the story at Nashari's as a joke on himself, 'bought a wheel, sold my knees to a Ledger clerk', and everyone laughs with him because that's what you do for Corb, but he's stopped sleeping well and started taking hauls he shouldn't at hours he shouldn't, trying to outrun a number that keeps outrunning him. He hasn't told his sister. He tells everyone else.
