Broka drew the short straw of House Farroad's factors: a year-round posting in a human city that still calls his people caravan-thieves under its breath, minding a strongroom too small for the house's ambitions. He does the job exactly anyway, because Yeshka told him plainly that the Wheelmoot judges the whole house by whether its Highbridge ledger balances. He is quieter than most Reshi factors, quick with numbers, and slow to trust anyone who wants a debt forgiven rather than paid.
