Wrenna Ash

A Far College copyist in the Guildrows who has transcribed more crumbling Imperium ledgers than anyone else on the roster — and keeps a private list of marginalia that might not be nothing.

Wrenna's job is to copy, not to interpret, and she's meticulous about the line — the College doesn't pay her to have theories, and she doesn't want the Deep Readers' reputation for chasing cosmic nonsense in old ink. But a scribe's crossed-out sum or a doodle in a margin is still a scribe's own hand, and after eleven years of copying she's started keeping a private list of the ones that don't quite fit the text around them. She hasn't shown it to anyone. She isn't sure yet whether that's caution or cowardice.
