Veil-keeper Orsa

The Mourner who tends the Hushing Deep — dry wit, iron nerve, and a missing bell she'd very much like back.

Orsa has buried more of the Vale than anyone alive and somehow stayed good company doing it. She keeps the Deep's bells in good repair and the relic-robbers out, mostly. Lately the Threnody Bell — the one that actually keeps the old bronze gate at the bottom from grinding open on its own — has gone missing into the dark, and she's not too proud to hire a brave fool to fetch it.
