He was posted here with four others; the others turned back or were quietly absorbed by the Quorum's coin. He stays because desertion is dishonorable and because he genuinely does not know if the road home is any safer than the road forward. He wants silver, information, and a reason to believe House Vandahl still exists beyond this stone.
