Eldest of the Ashen Moot, keeper of the lineage-rolls, who has settled more Asheni feuds with a ruling than the Houses have ever settled with steel.

Serys Dren remembers which forge was promised to which House three generations back, and she will recite it before she will forgive a falsehood. She holds the Moot's gavel because no House will trust another to hold it, and she guards that trust as jealously as any grudge in her rolls.
