Dav, the Hermit of the Ash

A half-mad Finder who lives on a mesa-top in the wastes, surviving on cliff-stalker meat and trading spoken directions for water and conversation.

Dav washed out of the Finders five years ago — dropped into the wastes on a salvage contract and found he could not leave. He sold the Cinder Quorum's map of the deep wells to a young Finder named Torv, which he claims was a legitimate deal and which may have gotten Torv killed. He knows every wash and spring between the Last Waystone and the Cinder Reach, and he sells that knowledge in pieces, never whole.
