Pyre Warden Seld

Hollow Writ garrison commander at Ashfall Town, a bored Korl veteran who expected an easy posting and got three seasons of ash and quiet contempt from the Ashwalkers.

Seld enforces the Writ's mineral claim out of habit and the chain of command. He has a sealed letter he was told to deliver to anyone who came back from the Cindervault alive; no one ever has, and the letter has grown soft in his kit from handling.
