The Gnash-King

A goblin grown big and cruel enough on stolen meat to rule the Skritch Warren — the one thing in the dark the rest of the warren fear more than they fear you.

Goblins do not crown kings; they flee the largest tooth, and the Gnash-King is the largest tooth the hills above the Vale have produced in a generation. He holds the warren together past its own cowardice by being more frightening than the outside world, and he keeps a hooked knife filed from a cave-troll's tooth to make the point. Put him down and the warren remembers, all at once, that it would much rather run.
