The Sealed Choir's gentle wing — the old Ashen Temple reformed from within, who mend the living first and seal only what truly cannot be saved.

When the militant Choir absorbed the soft old Temple, it did not entirely digest it. The Soft Choir still keeps the alms-house and the sickbeds, still believes mercy is a sacrament and not a weakness, and still quietly shelters the Unclosed-touched the Iron Cantors would shut away. Curate Andil and Sister Vethi are its conscience. Their whole existence is a slow argument that you can close a wrong without erasing the person it touched — an argument the Cantors are losing patience with.
