THE POWERS · THE ASHEN WASTES
The Ash Covenant
Asheni zealots who hold that the broken god's fire must be fed, never sealed — they raid the wastes for fuel, ore, and captives to throw on the pyres.
Where the Asheni who keep the old fire keep it as memory, the Covenant keep it as hunger. They take the burn-scars willingly, travel light and fast behind a fire-adept or two, and reckon every sealed shrine and quiet holding an insult to a god still burning. A war-party leaves nothing standing it can feed to the flame. Vorr Ash-Tongue, who calls himself the Unsealer, wears the soot of a hundred torched holdings and preaches that the Sundering only half-broke the god — and that the fire is how you finish breaking the seal.
