The Free Finders
The splinter inside the Finders that has started keeping the best finds instead of fencing them — skimming the Gaunt Ledger, which in the trade is a hanging offense.
It begins as a rationalization every Diver has had at the bottom of a barrow: why does the Ledger get the prize when I risked the wights for it? The Free Finders act on it. They keep a private cache, sell to outside buyers, and tell themselves they've simply stopped being owned. The Ledger calls it theft and the Finders call it suicide, because nothing keeps the trade alive but the certainty that a Finder always delivers. Draneth the Thin is one foot in their door already.
