Crag Bear

The Rampart's apex open-snowfield predator — a white-furred, heavy-limbed crag beast that holds the open snowfields between the tundra belt and the pass, and is the reason hunters count kills rather than make them.

They do not track or stalk — they occupy ground and wait for the ground to deliver something worth eating. A Crag Bear on an open snowfield owns the snowfield. The Stoneborn make coats of their pelts and count that as sufficient payment for the encounter.
