Korl Wight-Lord
also called the pass-holder, the high-grave wight
A Korl warrior-lord risen as a barrow wight of exceptional size and fury — held the pass before there was a pass, and has not forgotten the standing order.
The Korl ran bigger than their living cousins in the old high country, and their dead are proportional. The wight-lord in the Lance-Barrow swings an oversized iron lance with one hand and requires two adults to displace by force. It does not speak. It does not negotiate. It has been guarding the barrow since before the Vallen Imperium raised its rampart, and it will be guarding it when the rampart's stones are gravel.
