Chapter 61
Obsidian Toad

A poisonous amphibian that lives in the sulfur flats, skin crusted with mineral deposits — the gland inside it is a rare flux component needed for the old imperial smithing.
Moves slowly, looks like a wet rock, defends itself with a contact-toxin secreted through the mineral crust. Harvesting the flux-gland requires knowing where to cut and spending as little time as possible in the sulfur air. The Ashwalkers call it the mountain's thumbprint.
