Scrabbling crag-dwellers smaller even than goblins, denning in the eastern crags and trapping their tunnels against anything larger than themselves.

Kobolds are the crags' lowest predator and its most numerous — ratty, trap-laying, and quick to scatter. They share warrens with goblins when the two can stand each other and are culled like vermin by the orcs whose ground they squat on.
