The Book of Beasts · RIVEN
Chapter 67
Hedge-Imp
A small, spiteful Mender-built creature that slipped loose from a hedge-conjurer's botched binding and skulks the vale's ruins stealing anything bright.
Cowardly alone, vicious in a corner, and always hungry for shiny rubbish. Galdra Pyre swears the ones near town are not hers; the singe-marks on her rented sill suggest otherwise. Some say they are failed drafts from far above, losers in a game the sky-city plays. Others say they are just imps. The Temple counts every one against the guild's name.
