Ashen Loper

A heavy-bodied pack animal and herd beast kept by the Asheni, docile unless the herd is threatened.

Broad-backed, grey-skinned, slightly stupid. The tribes drive them across the ash; they eat grit-grass and do not complain. A bull loper protecting its herd is different — the camp children know not to run near them.
