Grave Lurker

A pale, eyeless scavenger that nests in the barrow's outer halls and feeds on what the wights leave behind.

It never attacks the wights. It shies from the relic's cold and retreats deeper when the threshold is crossed. The tribes call it the barrow's tongue — it tastes who has passed through.
