Tide Gripper

A barnacled deep-crawler that hauls itself up the cove at low tide on too many legs and goes back down with whatever it caught.

Older than the Hands' landing and indifferent to it. They wall the cargo-racks against the tide-line and lose a runner anyway, most seasons. Its shell is worth a season's smuggling to the right buyer.
