The Ash Famine — in-engine atmosphere capture

THE CHRONICLE · THE VALE

The Ash Famine

A years-long crop failure across the vale that broke House Vandahl's surplus and drove the first Asheni encroachments onto the silver road.

Three winters of ash-fall that killed the grain and the cattle together. The House opened its grain stores and closed them three months too late. Half the town ate Asheni jerky that year. Nobody has forgiven anybody for any of it.
