Chapter 1
A Guild Writ
also called Charter of Standing
A boilerplate guild charter page: the rungs of rank, the dues owed, and the one line everyone actually reads.
Be it known that standing is earned, not bought, and lost faster than either. The newest hand carries water and keeps their opinions. A full member may draw on the hall's stores and is answerable for them. Rank above that is decided by deed, witnessed and written. The dues are owed monthly. The last line, in every charter ever penned: a debt to the guild is paid before a debt to the grave.
