The Barrow Verse
The missing stanza of the barrow-prophecy, carved in bark-script into the deepest gallery of the Charm-Barrow — the verse Nali Gravesinger cut from what she teaches.
Six lines in the Asheni bark-script, cut with a knife that knew what it was writing: the dead king's name, the year the god broke, and the line that says what the prophesied return costs the one who meets it. The carver is not named. The verse rhymes with the known stanzas exactly. Someone knew the full text and knew better than to sing it.
