Political Geography — Racial Tensions by Region, City, and Faction

How the inter-racial sentiment matrix and the Sundering's asymmetric knowledge distribution express themselves across the Vale's regions, cities, and factions. The Vyr's Cult controls the story the Vale tells about itself; every political structure rests on that concealment remaining intact.

Every political structure in the Vale rests on one concealed fact: the institution that explains the world was built to bury what happened to it. The Listening College's authority, the Cult's social peace, the Vyr's position as the Vale's necessary scholars — all of it depends on the Sundering account remaining the Cult's account. The Asheni know it is false. The Korl have their own true account and do not care about Vale politics enough to weaponize it. The Hessk have information accumulating in the drowned shrines that will eventually require a decision. The Reshi move freely enough to carry fragments between all of them. The current equilibrium is not stable. It is old. Those are different things.
