Chapter 68
Silt Coin
also called the Drowned Mark, Hands-money

An informal currency of punched and stamped clay discs used by the Silt Hands for internal accounts, traded at a discount by anyone who needs to say nothing about where they got it.
Silt coin is worth roughly half its face value to anyone with a working name, and full value to anyone who needs to move something without a ledger entry. It is made in batches at Tidewrack Cove and theoretically cannot be counterfeited — because the Hands punish counterfeiting with interest.
